I have checked elsewhere on the forum, but I can't find a wiring diagram showing this plug. Is there one hiding somewhere?

There is a 'zip' file of all the RHD wiring diagrams we had back in 2010 - Click Here -

Not sure if what you are after is in there though

I have tried to download them but I am told that 'I have exceeded my download quota'.

There is a daily limit to stop abuse, I'm afraid. Try again now.

Thanks. I have now managed to download the wiring diagrams. Now I have to interpret them!

I am struggling with this. The display has now failed three times and been returned to Autotronics three times and on each occasion they have fixed it again. But, it only lasts for a very short period of time. This morning when I opened the door, the mileage was shown on the display, but after driving the car for a short time, I noticed that the display was blank again.

I do not think that I can blame Autotronics; I feel there is something deeper in the electrics going wrong. I have never noticed the display fail when I have been driving the car.

So, I'm thinking that maybe there is some sort of spike that goes to the display when I start the engine and this causes a failure. But it clearly doesn't do this every time. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I think you are right: voltage spikes. But the reason is usually a faulty power supply inside instrument electronics, there are 2 IC's that should be replaced + checking the print for burnt spots and loose connections. I just got mine repaired. Many experience repair that don't last long.

Presumably yours was repaired locally in Norway.

Yes, in a small elektro company locally, only 1 hour ! I had the parts and the how-to notes from the seller. I bought through ebay in 2021, check out sosinformatique18 - Click Here - on the net.

Thank you. I have sent them a message. I remain worried abut an external problem with the electrics of the car, but we shall see what they say.

Autotronics have come bcak to me and asked me to send the unit back to them for further investigation so I have done so.

I also heard from Sosinformatique and they are very willing to look at the unit if I send it to them - they did sound very positive. So, if Autotronics fail again, I will send it to Sos.

Thanks very much for your help.

I will update this as and when things change.
