Pleiades have received the spheres and checked them and have advised they were all down 15/20psi so are now in the process of recharging them.

15-20 psi is only 1 bar (did you mean flat by 15-20 bar?)

Just had a quote from Citroen to check the spheres on my C6 of 4/5 hours at a cost of£400+ then the price of replacments on top, so I said that thank you but no thank you. Must have a word with Martin at plaides.

Having seen spheres being taken on/off several C6 including my own by B.L.Autos, I'd say it takes approx 2 hours, depends if any of them are being stubborn (the 4 at the rear can get corrosion where they are exposed to the elements).
Surely, there's an independent specialist near you that could do this?

Graham Morton (GM Vehicle Services - Click Here - ) is close to Huddersfield and will have a sphere removal tool, but I'm not sure if he has a test rig?

Hi all, an LDS sphere tester will be the same as an LHM sphere tester as the threads are the same.

The only "issue" would be a degree of fluid contaimination. You could ask him to empty and rinse out any LHM.

Hi, IMHO you should of course test all spheres, but if there are lower than 30% pressure, just buy the new one and replace. Do not believe somebody can recharge the spheres. I know some of them, they fixing a valve instead a plug, so as a result you will be his client each half year to check an top up Nitrogen pressure.

It was easy to recharge the old (green) version of spheres (I can do it and have an equipment.), but the new fixed in C5, C6 have a special multicouche membrane and glued plug so it is not right way to rebulit and remodelling.

The spheres correct level of pressure is significant to have proper driving, comfort and sensors work.

Sorry if I am not very fluent in language.

Greetings for all

Hi jarecki,
No problem you English is fine, spoke to Martin at plaides today regarding testing all the spheres and quoted me about £350 plus vat and it would take about half a day to do as there are 7 spheres to remove test and replace, so not bad cheaper than Citroens price.

Hi Norman,
I know, to have C6 and keep it in good condition, you need some money to spend
I compared prices and I have quite good news - in my country it is cheaper! I think you can buy new one 7pcs set (max £250) here + shipping
But I also know, sometimes is better to spend some time in the friendly garrage than look for an ocassion
NIce swing for all

Hi Jarecki- is that £250 for Citroen spheres, or aftermarket? If so then that's a great price. I fitted brand new IFHS spheres to the front this year, but I'm considering sending the old ones to Pleiades for regassing- if the originals hold pressure so much better, combined with Pleiades high reputation, they should be good as new.

I was at Pleiades three years ago, they regassed all my spheres. They are still OK.
