Well after my neighbour told me that there was something hanging down under the car I had it checked when I got the brake light switch sorted It was the one that covers the rear suspension spheres and pipes and is part number: 7013YS The Broken one looks like this and you can se where the fixings had been pulled out, which I suspect was back in December in the deep snow. From the reverse side: Now you may expect because it's on a C6, it would be expensive and that an option would be to repair the broken holes with a bit of plating/large washers. Well it cost £21.30 for a new one so cost was not an issue, but the best part, my local dealer stuck the car up on the ramps and fitted the new one... Free while I waited.
