Hi all,
For those of you interested, the C6 can be programmed (with Lexia) to have a hillholder, meaning that when stopped on a incline with the brake pedal depressed, on releasing the pedal the brake will still hold for about 2 sec or up to the point where enough engine power is generated for the car to start moving forward. Even with an automatic gearbox on a steep incline once the brake is released the car might start to roll back. By activating this feature through Lexia it won't, giving you enough time to just gently push the accelerator instead of flooring it.

Start with global test.

Select BSI>Configuration>manual configuration>configuration>vehicle definition etc.

The last submenu has a long list of items.

Scroll down to "retention of braking for 2 sec when starting on gradiant. Enter, select YES, enter, select configure.

You need the configure key which for the lexia clones is 03114.

Good luck, Robert

The way it works with Citroen and most other brands is that the customizable options are activated by the dealer who delivers the new car. This is normally done in more or less country-specific sets. Ideally the dealer should inform the buyer of all possible options, giving him the choice whether or not to activate them. Frankly, most dealers don`t. As to the hillholder, in Germany this option was not part of the standard set. Maybe it was in the UK?

I confirm, my Germany-imported C6 doesn't have this option activated either...

My (German) C6 doesn't have it activated either. Our Berlingo has and this has led to more than one nasty and potentially dangerous situation when I inadvertently stalled the engine. I have not yet tried to hook up the Berlingo to my Lexia, but this feature will be deactivated first. Good to know this is possible, thanks Robert!

I have tried to activate this on my manual 2.2, using the Lexia 2. The value is set but the function never kick in. I wonder if the Bosch 8.1 ESP-unit supports this? (it should) Have anyone tried and succeeded?

I have tried to change the parameter with Lexia3, but no success to even find the option.
