Hi. My car is stuck in park. I am only able to release it by poking a screwdriver into the right hand side of the gear lever. I have tried testing the function in Lexia (I can hear a small click but I am unsure if it is the right amount of click).

Can the source of the problem be a relay? (And where is the relay located?) Or can it be something with the brake pedal?

Any advice would be appreciated.

This is where the relay sits. When it triggers, it makes a noticeable click and pulls the white plastic lock downwards (this is what you are pressing to manually unlock).

Are you able to move the gear shift out of P when using Lexia to unlock?

If not, it sounds like either the relay or some electrical issue.
