LDS cap leaking fluid through the tiny hole in cap : is it Defective ?

Thank you for the benefit of your experiences with your LDS reservoir caps .

I received the LDS CAP 4009v9.
I have verified that the tiny hole at the top of the cap is definitely a vent hole.

Indeed the "hiss" when you opened the cap indicates pressure. Perhaps there is more than one version of the 4009v9 Cap?
Did your replacement Cap from the C5 have the mysterious extension on the bottom side of it ?

Are the C6 and C5 LDS reservoirs interchangeable ?

 Sorry if I was unclear:
-The "hiss" (=pressure) is only with the older C5 cap I use now (no hole)
-My old one (from car 2010 model, part 4009v9) had the extension tube
-Yes, I think C5 and C6 reservoirs and caps are similar. Also the pumps, but maybe different electronics

 Tjensen, Now we have the answer regarding the 3 different LDS reservoir CAPS :

One iteration that you use now from C5 has no VENT hole: is this C5 CAP flat on the inside? .. no plastic extension on the inside ?

Second iteration that I have was CAP flat on inside with VENT hole:
seems to often leak and make a mess

Third (current) iteration is CAP 4009v9 with plastic extension on inside with VENT hole.

Does this make sense ?

LDS reservoirs Part numbers are the same on the C6 & C5

There will be only 1 version of the cap with that part number 4009 V9
