After a period of about 2 years sitting in the garage without a battery I’ve finally installed a brand new, fully charged battery. The C6 woke up and started as normal. Before putting it in the garage everything worked fine, only the battery was knackered. Now for some reason the rt3 headunit has decided to get stuck in a rebooting loop. I get the logo on the screen, the radio starts playing. After a short while the unit starts beeping as if it’s not coded to the car and it reboots. I’ve used the DARK button to reset, but it doesn’t fix it. Also leaving the car overnight with the new battery connected does not make a difference. Any suggestions what causes this rebooting and advise for possible fixes? |

Thanks for the links, I think the first one is not my situation. It never rebooted before being parked for 2 years without the battery connected. Must be something to do with the internal battery of the radio I think. Does anybody know what config is in the Rt3? If I swap it for another with the same spec will I need to do anything except coding it to the car with the correct vin? |

There’s the possibility that it’s lost comms with the ecu, and needs recoding to the car, easy to do with Lexia/Diagbox if you have the key card | ||
