Engine oil on dipstick is at its max on cold today However, when I insert the key this morning, the familiar SERVICE 16200kms shows up followed by a beep and briefly this.. SERVICE Oil Any idea what the prompt is telling me to do, please? Thank you, Eddy 2.7 HDi 121,000kms Sydney |

Yes, it was, Dave, thank you. And I reset it again to be sure.. The message persisted - I also found I was prompted to check the oil level. Dipstick showed full to the max. | ||

OK have you checked and cleaned the connector to the actual oil level sensor, it's low down so could be prone to dirt etc.? If you need to replace the actual sensor search on Valeo 366271 or MAGNETI MARELLI 510050013200 engine oil level, you might find more luck in Aus with a Jaguar one This might help with the location of the sensor: ![]() |
