Here we go again. Does anyone know where to get a used or refurbished suspension pump, other than ebay? It had been growling for some time so probably not just a build up of gunk inside the motor.

It is probably possible to repair the electric motor. Also electric motors from older C5's are the same, pump is different and needs to be swapped over.

I had a service exchange from BBA Reman. Possibly two, after the dealer burst the LDS tank...

BBA supplied one for my previous 2.7 years ago but they closed down. On eBay mtec-autoparts advertise refurbs at £485 but they are in Italy. Still trawling market places but so far only seen C5 ones.
Looks like the solution is to fit a C5 motor to the original pump / electronics.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Swapping motor is quite usual, according to my garage. I got a complete refurbished unit from Poland in 2022.

Just a thought, my car is a 2.2 auto. If I fitted a complete unit from a 2.7 would the car’s software object?

Should be fine, I got my pump from 2.7HDi and my car is 3.0 petrol, just swapped over.

Just to conclude this one, the replacement resulted in a communication error, so the solution was to change the motor and use the existing pump and control box. Presumably the simpler suspension setup needs different ecu parameters.

Incidentally, the old motor was full of the usual grey gunge, so I have fitted a plastic cover over the motor to deflect stray LDS in the future.
