I got a DIAGBOX / Lexia .
it won't proceed without RPO .
What location do I find RPO ?
I tried to search RPO on this site but it is asking for 4 characters ...

What exactly is RPO?

RPO is sometimes called ORGA and is the date of manufacture code. When you find it enter it in the calculator you can download - Click Here - and it's tell you exactly when your car was made.

You'll find the number on the tyre pressure sticker on the A-post, it's a five digit number starting with 1xxxxx

The ORGA number is only required for vehicles that need to be diagnosed with the LEXIA.

If the DIAGBOX is installed (7.xx and higher), the Diagbox must also be used and not the alternative LEXIA, because only 2-3 control units are recognised there.

And the DIAGBOX no longer requires an ORGA number.

Wolfgang,
My DIAGBOX 7.xx does ask for the RPO number in MAINTENANCE where I try to determine DPF fluid level.
In DIAGBOX my 2.7L HDI is not listed .... why is that ?

In the meantime I am trying to reset engine light caused by DEPOLLUTION SYSTEM FAULTY which I mentioned in another thread .... but can't find a place to do that.

Clearing faults doesn't have any affect.

Will I risk damage to my C6 if drive it with the DEPLOLLUTION SYSTEM FAULTY ?

Please advise ....
Thanks !

No, but you will potentially pollute the atmosphere.

I continue to need assistance with DIAGBOX v7.57.

It does not list 2006 C6 2.7l HDI

It lists only the 3.0L HDI, and 2.2L HDI .

Did I receive the wrong version of DIAGBOX?
WHAT VERSION of DIAGBOX will properly diagnose 2006 C6 2.7L HDI ?

Please advise .
Thank you!

one post is sufficient.
Please don't request the same info in two places as you're likely to get confused with the answers.

The PSA V7.57. DIAGBOX that I use covers the 2.7 HDI as well as the 3.0l and 2.2 HDI

Also find the Snap-on Solus Ultra good with live data etc.

IMO only as good as the operator.

Above comment (No, but you will potentially pollute the atmosphere.)
Agreed as with the blanking of the ERG valves and making the vehicle non compliant with road regulations etc.

speedfix,
Oddly enough, the version of DIAGBOX v7.57 that I received (2009 PSA version) neglects to include 2.7L HDI in list when I want to check DPF fluid level.

What version of DIAGBOX lists 2.7L HDI ?

MY computer is unable to open ORGA download
as it's an XLS attachment
Where else can I find the ORGA calculator?

The diagnostic tool must not only be installed correctly, it must also be operated accordingly.

Diagbox 7.57 and other DB versions only ask for the C6 - there are no other subcategories and if DIAGBOX 7.xx and higher is installed, then only the DB must be used for the C6 and no longer the LEXIA.

Start details for 7.57:

Start Diagbox and select 'Citroen'

then select C6

then confirm the VCI connection by ticking the green box

now the VIN is read out automatically (ignition must be on) confirm

now select Diagbox - never use LEXIA

then select troubleshooting = EXPERT/Global test etc.

If you send me your personal e-mail address - you will receive a manual - but in German - the original manual for the 1st online version (V05.xx) in all languages is also available in the DB.

Greetings Wolfgang

The choices when using DIAGBOX v7.57 are Diagbox or Lexia .

Why do you direct me to never use LEXIA?
(I understood that LEXIA was created for the C6?)

I am interested to understand this.

Only those who use the old Solo-LEXIA 345 + Update 348 can diagnose the C6 up to 2009 with the old LEXIA software (firmware is 4.2.2).

With firmware 4.3.0, PSA switched all models that were built after a certain year of manufacture from the LEXIA software to the DIAGBOX software.

The LEXIA in the DB software is a further development for older vehicles that were no longer available after 2007.

In newer C6s, the diagnostics therefore go directly to DIAGBOX - in C6 models before that, this selection is made.

I have already written about all this in another forum. This has to be taken into account at some point.

Repeat:

If this selection is displayed on the C6 and diagnostic software from firmware 4.3.0 is installed, then only the DIAGBOX works and the DIAGBOX 7.xx has firmware 4.3.2 and higher.

Just do what is recommended to you - I will not give any more answers.

Wolfgang

That's strange; it should read it from the car when it reads the VIN.

The RPO / build code is on the sticker by the hinge of the driver's door. It will be something like 10906CJ.
The numbers are what it's asking for; this is the date of manufacture expressed as the number of days sincd 1976-10-08.
CJ is the factory code for Rennes.
