I'm considering taking my trailer test and using the C6 to tow a caravan with a maximum weight of 1440kg......this seems to be slightly over the cars 1400kg towing capacity Due to the cars large mass and engine I would imagine it to be a good towing vehicle. If I keep the combined weight of car and caravan below the maximum train weight will I be legal? |

I have towed both a Caravan and trailer tent with the C6, The tip I would give is to put the cars suspension into SPORT mode when you have the caravan on, this will reduce the amount of 'wallow'.

Trainman has a point. I have used C5 as tower and its perfect with both suspension and gearbox on sport. No wobbling and the aisin uses 5th gear on 80-100kmh. |

My understanding is that the published maximum towing capacity is the maximum LEGAL towing capacity, not an advisory limit. So, you would be over the legal limit.
