I don't suppose i am allowed to mention the dealer's name but it's a very large UK car sales outfit and they have a Citroen dealership where my neighbour bought his C1. I called and asked if they were interested in my C6 and they said they needed to see it before saying yes or no. Anyway, they said it was the nicest C6 they had seen in some time, but then admitted they had only sold 3 used ones in a year or more. They said that it was a car they felt they could sell, due to mileage and history and condition. Which meant they could offer a generous amount for it. £3,500! Three thousand five hundred pounds. 6 year old Fiesta diesels go for that FGS! |

Well, they don't buy cars to keep for themselves. If it's not a trade-in (I think you are selling it outright because of your recent acquisition of SM), there is even less incentive for them. I got mine for almost half the retail price, because I managed to pick it up from a wholesaler - by then it's already gone through the trade-in dealer with their margin. You get the idea.

They still need to make a profit but if they can sell at the price, you never know... you only loose your shirt and not end up b*****k naked |

Quite seriously if this is not worth anything, pretty much, then it will get kept out of principle and i will keep the SM at my daughter's house. She has a garage she never uses and that will be collared!

Really funny that you should post that as I was there last week and they have several available....... Wantathreelitre wrote ... There's a car on eBay being broken in Kent and when you add the prices up, well you would get more. If you don't need to sell, hang onto it. They don't make them anymore and at some point the market may recover. |
