We have just acquired a C6, it's a 2.2Hdi Exclusive, I've only driven it home from Wolsey House so far (I live in Suffolk so it wasn't all that far).

We're Citroen people, started with two BXs back in 1988 or so, then we went through four XMs, most recently (still for sale) we have a C5. My wife decided she wanted an automatic and we looked for a new(er) automatic C5, went to Wolsey House and (having thought about C6s before) decided to buy the C6.

Now I'll be told that Wolsey House are a load of sharks and that my C6 is going to fall apart in ten minutes!

By the way can this forum be accessed by E-Mail rather than having to go via the web?

You can subscribe to topics and get updates via e mail, but you can't post without logging into site I'm afraid as the system in use doesn't have the facility and there are no 'plugins' for it.

Hi, I bought my C6 2.2 with blacked out rear windows from WHM last Christmas and it has been no problem so far it was fully serviced by them and Mot'd which advised on two new tyres for the front which they did, there was a problem with one of the headlights at a later date which Danny at WHM payed partially to have it repaired, otherwise it has been great the only other thing I have had done is a engine & gearbox oil change as we are driving down to torre del Mar in Spain via a couple of stops in France next Wednesday so enjoy your new C6 as I do mine.

Well done Chris

Remember you from the XM days. So that's two C6s in Woodbridge now as Dave has one as well.

Ive moved from Ipswich and now only a couple of miles from WHM - Not quite taken the C6 plunge but was very tempted by the one you have just bought.

I have never heard anything bad about WHM only very good honest reports.

Cheers

Mark

Hi Mark - am right chuffed and interested to see that you own a Whizzkid. I do remember them, but have not seen one for eons. What I love about this site is the diversity of eclectic vehicles people here own/ have owned. Nice one!

Hi Bishop

Yes we have two
Both resting and rusting faster than they can be patched.
SWIMBO had one as her first car and I tracked one down for her 40 th birthday (a number of years ago now)
About 28 left running in the UK.
Slowly being photographed, stripped, parts sand blasted, re painted, catalogued and stored. The shells will the go off for blasting, welding and painting.
Not really financially rewarding but we all said that about Mk 1 Escorts.
We have the last set of factory panels for them and about 6 big boxes full of new old stock we got from a guy who had to give up driving.
48bhp about 600KG, rear wheel drive, 4" ground clearance and smaller than a mini. 55-65MPG to boot even with the rev needle at the red line
Even our grown up kids think they are cool

So, that's 3 in Aldeburgh and 2 in Woodbridge. It must say something, but I can't imagine what....

Ok it says........
If you live out here you have at least 30-45 mins before you reach civilisation, so its better to spend the time in a big Cit.
Or it could say something else.

I will ask my neighbour 1/2 a mile away

I don't know Barbs K, but I'm not a lifetime local, I only moved here in 1991 for work-reasons... I'm the treasurer of St Mary's Church in Woodbridge, so if there is any linkage there, people will know me. We used to have 2 more C6's in Woodbridge, Mr Leaper's, former Music Teacher at Abbey had one, as well as as the one that suffered the airbag deployment on the A1.. There were also a couple in Felixstowe as well..

It's interesting that I seem to see a lot of VAG/BWW/Merc metal locally, along with the expected collection of JLR vehicles. When I go and stay with my parents in Wigan, there seems to be a much broader collection of brands/vehicles. I see more DS's and Cacti on the M6 north of Birmingham, than I ever do the A12/14.
Is it just me who sees this?

I truncated her name as a courtesy. She may be passed-on now -- she's a longtime friend of my now-four-years-estranged wife -- but Red House is a quite distinctive property.

Regarding your observations: there are many, many DSs -- 3s and 5s (I can't wait to clock a 9!) -- and several of the Cactus derivative around here in South Hants.
