my 2008 citroen c6
owned and loved for 7 years ,but i have a problem ,i left it sitting for 3 months and on return to uk found
abs and hand brake warning lights on dash
i cleaned magnetic ring on rear no improvement
replaced abs sensor ,no improvement
checked wiring for continuity
checked brake pedal switch
question ,with ignition on should there be a voltage at the plug connecting abs sensor.

No.

How did you know what ABS sensor to replace.

Was the battery low or flat after three months?.

IMO clear all codes and give it a run and reread codes, if pressent deal with testing units etc.

i borrowed a snapon solus and it said read left hand abs sensor
battery was fine
i guess i need to delete faults and try again

Does the ABS actually work? With our C6 we have twice had the rear sensors replaced following the No Handbrake and ABS fault warnings and the dash "lit up". On BOTH occasions if you drove along and stamped on the brakes you could feel that the ABS was working leading to the conclusion that it is some kind of software interaction.

yes abs works ok and handbrake works ok
