Hi just had the alloys diamond cut and four new Michelin cross climate + (245/45/18) tyres fitted as the alloys were looking terrible so with 4 new tyres now looks respectable. At 95145 miles it will interesting to see how they perform on the trip to Spain and back and the total cost was a respectable £1000 total.

I'm interested to know how you get on with the Cross Climate tyres over time/mileage. I'm considering them as my next set of tyres. |

Still prefer to use separate summer(245/45/18) and winter(225/55/17) tyres. I will be changing my winter tyres this year to Michelin Alpine 5's. When my current summer tyres - Michelin Primacy 3, come round for renewel I will replace with Michelin Primacy 4's.

We're they the original wheels (diamond cut 18inch versions), or did you experiment and try to cut them from the standard wheel? I need to replace the two front alloys soon as the blistering is getting bad now. They were refurbished just 3 year ago but I think the €100 refurb cost wasn't worth it (per wheel). Original wheels would of been in better condition now. Regards Dave |

I took the car down to the local alloy Refurbishers who diamond cut them and painted then lacquered them before fitting the new tyres, and I will be keeping a eye on them to see how they wear..

Hi Phil, I've no idea that's how the cross climates tyres come and they have good reviews so only time will tell, I'll keep everybody informed as to how they perform. Regards, Norman Craven |

I run mine on Landsails. Have done since 2015 when they beat Michelin primacy in a reputable tyre review. They came eighth of 15 brands whilst Michelin came 9th. I pay less than eighty quid each tyre at my local ATS and they are as good as any tyres I've used. I don't race round corners like a loon or exceed the speed limit (by much!!!) so any comparable lack of grip or sidewall support with the likes of Bridgestone, Pirelli and others is, in my humble opinion, irrelevent, and they are very quiet. Enjoy the rest of the summer and safe motoring folks.

Back from a lovely holiday in Torremolinos Spain done 5577 km and the cross climate tyres are looking good with loads of tread and were very quiet also something I noticed after pulling up to the toll booths and feeling the front nearside hit the curb on investigating the alloy wheel and yes (They are diamond cut )there was no damage as the tyres protrude further out than the wheel which I'm pleased about, Also the fuel consumption seems ok at 12.5. Km/l at 66 km/hi |
