The new owner is delighted with his purchase! Quick drive from Hatfield to Andover - even the M25 wasn't that bad.

This now means that I have owned at least one of every haut de gamme hydropneumatic Citroen apart from the SM...
DS19 BVH - DS23 ie BVH - CX 2500 GTi Turbo - 2 x XM CT Turbos.
Plus a number of 'lesser' hydropneumatic cars - GSX, GSA Pallas, GSA Special - BX GT, BX GTi.
Up until now, I thought the GS/As had the best ride quality but the C6 is way superior.

Given all the suspension work done by Shaun, yours probably rides as near as possible to a new C6 (if they still built them )

I think you are right - in 2007 when I tested a new C6 for Citroenet, the ride left me slightly puzzled - diagonal rocking and over all, not as good as my XM (which was fitted with comfort spheres). But this car is in a class of its own.
Had to fill it with fuel today - and discovered that I didn't know how to open the filler flap - drive back home - consult handbook - drive back to filling station - £95 to fill it up...

You can't beat a C6 for emptying your wallet while you fill up with fuel

You're always welcome to use the 'phone a friend' option. I'm happy to help with queries.

Thanks Shaun. Took her out for a brief drive in the dark - the headlights are really rather excellent... Couldn't fathom out how to turn the satnav display to 'night time' because I didn't have the handbook with me...

There's a button marked 'dark' on the radio head unit, left hand side in a group of 6 buttons.
Press once to darken the map, but keep the time on the Nav screen & all dashboard display.
Press twice for total darkness part from speedo.

The central dash unit is not exactly user friendly, with lots of buttons that are difficult to find, and in the dark whilst driving!

I am sure that I will get used to it...
Part of the problem is that I need spectacles for reading but not for driving - so if I am not wearing them, I can't see the legends on the buttons.
Many of the control sequences strike me as being counterintuitive - Citroen should have employed Apple as consultants...
Amused by the Navidrive handbook - in the section under places of interest one can select vineyards.
Does anyone know whether RT3 map updates are available? The discs I have are 2010/11.

Yes, you can get newer maps, £109, from Navteq, via a Citroen website, see the link below;

I was quite happy with the 3 year old maps, got me everywhere I ever needed to in the UK.
There was the odd bit of new road, when you'd appear to be driving in a field, like the A421 to Bedford from Milton Keynes at junction 13 of the M1.

Hmm - they will probably be okay for me too, then.
Is it worth/possible installing the Risk Zones product?

Not sure if you can on an RT3 Julian as it reads the maps from a disc, not the hard drive.

I'm not sure either - hence the question - the website was not altogether clear on this point.

Another question if I may - does anyone sell boot nets?

I doubt that it's possible to load the 'Safety Cameras' onto RT3 as the product finder doesn't list it for RT3 - Click Here - (it does for RT4)

I used a boot net from a C4, adding my own securing rings to the boot liner - Click Here -
