Earlier this year I bought new Tyfoon tyres for my 3.0 HDi. The tyre dealer had set the pressures as 300 kPa (= 3 bar = 43.5 PSI). After driving a while, I reduced the pressures to 2.4 bar (35 PSI), as labeled in the car.

Recently one front tyre got damaged after hitting a big stone on an unsurfaced road and had to be replaced. The dealer found that the tyre had already started to wear unevenly due to too low pressure, and recommended to go back to 3 bar.

So now I'm back to 3 bar.

mtee, is it possible that the uneven wear is down to suspension wear?

Also, what is the load rating of your Nexen tyres?

I'm presuming the uneven wear is on the front?

I had excessive crown wear on the rear Michelin tyres that came new with the car: the solution was to decrease pressure from 2.4 to 2.3 bar for normal unloaded motoring.

Sorry, my bad. My tyres are Tyfoon, not Nexen. Corrected it in my original post.

Tyfoon Successor 5 245/45R18 XL Y 100.

Yes, uneven wear was on front. I don't think it's suspension because the winter tyres display no uneven wear. The car has 67000 kms on the clock.
