 as a matter of interest. I have a laptop with Lexia on it....Can I use it to program the key?

You can I believe. I've not done it but I have seen the menu leading to the key reprogramming.

 It definitely can be done through Lexia/Diagbox. I had to replace a key and you code the keys out, and then recode them, deleting all the other keys, this means that should the other key 'appear' it won't start the car
