Filled up with diesel today and the fuel flap won't stay shut! The little solenoid operated lug is stuck in its housing. I tried locking and unlocking the car several times to no avail. No amount of poking, lubricating and wiggling has made it move - so I can't shut the fuel flap properly. To make things worse, when I was trying to jiggle it the lock mechanism dropped inside the rear wing somewhere! I don't think you can access it from the boot so it seems to me that the rear seat has to come out (mine are loungepack!). At least I can still put fuel in but obviously need to sort it out ASAP. Anyone got any ideas please? Thanks, Bob |

UPDATE: All sorted now. Access is easy - pull the wheel arch liner down. The mechanism had failed in the 'unlock' position and furthermore drained anew 100A battery overnight!

Defunct mechanism replaced with a good one - twist to lock into place on a bayonet type fitting. Easy peasy.

Seems to be another "classic" C6-fault. The same was replaced on mine before I bought it... |
