Indeed David, I never liked 'em, only one out of 58 cars, the XM 2.5, OK, but manual Joking apart, I actually didn't realise until this week, Newsnight report actually, how really [%*^#@!] awful oil burners are, in short, to save the planet, they're poisoning us - what a trade off!! Not all diesels will be banned from London, If the engine is Euro 6 compliant then it can still be used....... | ||

In Lisbon you can't already drive in the city during working hours if your car doesn't comply with Euro 2 and in some parts of the city if it doesn't comply with Euro 3. But old taxis and buses still can enter the city so there isn't any difference in the air quality, has most cars that drive daily to the city are very recent. I really wanted a petrol C6 but the portuguese love diesel engines because the fuel is cheaper (even tough the car is more expensive) so only diesel C6's in the used car market. |
