 ...as oddly stupid it sounds, I managed to break my right taillight... Not by reversing into something, not by getting banged by anyone else, but... By accidentally smashing it with one of my tennis racquets...

Milliseconds after it happened half of my brain was going ) imagining how stupidly funny that would look on a YouTube fail compilation, while the other half was going ( thinking of how I maimed my baby...

Now, 2 questions...

1. is there a second hand unit available?
2. how do I replace it?!?

 Replacing it is easy.

There are two plastic 'wing' nuts behind the boot lining under the light, if you have a look under the light from inside the boot, you will see two 'flaps' the wing nuts are under there.... BECARFUL though, don't drop the nuts as they will disappear never to be seen again........

once the nuts are undone and removed it's a matter of lifting (some times with gentle persuasion) the light unit out and disconnecting the cables.

refitting is just the reverse.........

HI all,
just to let people know, Amazon are now selling new C6 rear light units for the left and right main rear! I bought the left and right light units for a very good price recently, but the prices are up and down alot depending on the day/week, which is strange, but if your careful they are cheap at the right time. Anyway, they are Original Magneti Marelli units and they also come with the bulb harness and all bulbs fitted.
