 Hi all, there is now a UK Landrover specialist advertising overhauled 2.7HDi diesel engines on the web, specifically for C6s, C5s and Peugeot 407s. I'm not quoting their website (no implied recommendation). They will in most cases need your old engine or a surcharge applies. About £2800 excluding fitting etc.

 The Land Rover engines are not the same as the C6 engines. The bell housings are totally different with the bolts going into the gearbox in different places.

Robert from BL Auto's has had problems with this in the past I believe.

 Hi David, the Landrover specialist is offering Landrover engines for Landrovers, Jaguar engines for Jaguars and PSA engines for Citroens/Peugeots. They are all 2.7s but have detailed differences throughout and you are correct on the bellhousing interface differences for the FWD applications.

Thats partly why they want your old engine in exchange.

They have developed their own main bearings: Ford can't/won't supply.
