This might have been covered before - in which case, my apologies...

The cruise control/over speed limiter on my car only works if I move the steering wheel though all its adjustments - up/down; in/out and promptly stops working when I switch off the engine and then restart.

It has been suggested that the COM2000 is at fault...

Julian,

et somebody to stick a lexia on first, there's a chap somewhere over in the Leeds area who can repair them, I believe for a fraction of the replacement cost.....

Julian, consensus is that alleviating the wiring strain on a permanent basis, effects a permanent repair in the vast majority of cases.

I'm so used to bashing the underside of my steering column nacelle once a month that I now have calloused knuckles!

Incidentally, if the EML is lit then the cruise will not even switch on.

Sorry I'm kind of slow, what's does EmL stand for? An electric problem? Mine acts up the whole
Time. Works at differnt times! Is it a case of just changing switches on steering? Obviously something isn't getting power ?
