If the coolant is cold should it be between the Max and Min level, or when it's hot ?

C6Dave wrote ... It should be bewtween the 2 when cold im not sure of coolant level would i have too much coolant if when cold it is sitting about an inch from top of expansion tank its on the line that runs round the filler neck which is about about an inch down the neck and if you take it for a run then undo it coolant comes out and after a run it sits about half inch from top of filler nrck is this incorrect so where exactly should it be when cold anyone with pics would be great thanks Simon |

I think all reports here er OK. It must be above minimum to be enough, but not so much that it cannot be a cushion of air over the coolant in all situations. The exact "max" is difficult to see for me, but I would guess Dave is a bit over that (?)
