Wait until you've seen the depreciation for the Maybach 62 which weighs in at a hefty £415 a day! Imagine what you could do with £415 a day! How about a BMW 7-series? I've heard numbers of 51% in the first year being thrown about...

Just thought I'd all share a laugh with you, and feel smug knowing we've made the right choice.

The kind of people who buy one of those no doubt aren't overly concerned as they'll offset it against their tax bill..............

OH had a 735i SE BMW, ten years ago. It'd done 100000miles, FSH, 7 years old. It cost, from a dealer, £2500.

Car went to a friend and did another 100000 miles before it went phut.....I believe it cost about £40000 new. Then!

Oh, and the friend had a deal with her employers that she got 45p/mile for her own car. Hmm....

No-one who has spent around half a million EUR on a car is likely to be concerned about losing 500 EUR a day in depreciation, are they? Anyway, as Dave says, they will write it off against tax, so it actually represents good business for them.

VW Phaeton depreciation in % terms must be similar to C6, but obviously absolutely much worse.

For numbers, try purchase price of £16425 depreciating to zero over 3 years, thats £15/day. There are folks that smoke that much!!

Regards

It's not going to be zero as the car will have a scrap value when all said and done, more if broken for spares
