Now, hopefully, with the Navidrive fixed, I've been out buying CD's to put onto the jukebox thing (if I figure out how).

I've managed to find a whole load of old favourites on disc that I can listen to. Of these, if I had to choose only 7 they would have to be

American Girl - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
Trucking - Grateful Dead
Fat Man in the Bathtub - Little Feat
Crossroads - Cream
All Along the Watchtower - Hendrix
Central Reservation - Beth Orton
Ancients of Mumu KLF

Any suggestions?

Several there I could go along with

But plug your iPhone into a USB Box and have several thousand instead.

C'mon now, you've got to have some Mark Knopfler/James Taylor in there somewhere!

The cabin of the idiosyncratic C6 should be full of joyous electro-swing:

Caravan Palace and Chinese Man from France; Club des Belugas, Tape Five and De Phazz from Germany; Parov Stelar and Waldeck from Austria; Denmark's Analogik and the Swiss Audio Lotion. That's enough to get you started. Happy music, all of it.

Nothing obscure there then!

Actually, this is now getting expensive. What with buying a whole load of new CD's, I've decided that the sound system at home isn't as good as in the car. On the basis of saying that she doesn't want the car garaged in the sitting room, Mrs Ex has sanctioned a new hi fi system.

Obscure? Well, possibly, but take advantage of the name-checks and look them up on YouTube. I dare you not to be tapping hands and feet with a smile on your face.

You're buying CDs? How endearingly 20th century, and how inappropriate for a 21st century car.

But totally appropriate for an old git like me.

Just checked some of the stuff and it's good.
