Ok car was running perfectly. Enjoying it thoroughly. Main dash display goes black with a puff of smoke. This happened before and just needed a couple of IC's replaced. Previously when this happened the car drove fine even though the display was blank.
This time i have errors everywhere, depollution system, the multi-function display is in some odd mode, ABS faults and worst of all the suspension is not working properly and will not settle at the the right height.
I tried replacing the same IC's I did the last time and its not fixed it. I have also now tried a used display and while this lights up the faults won't go away.
I am starting to think there has been a serious electrical fault here and its damaged a whole bunch of the electronics?
Do I have to do any thing with diagbox to get the used display to work properly?
Any suggestions welcome here.
I plan to try and get the original display repaired by a specialist but getting quite alarmed about the suspension which has been awesome just going bat [%*^#@!] like this.

Ouch !

That's quite a combination. Don't know about a used panel from another car. Had ours repaired by the gentleman in Somerset and that was just plug and play when it came back.

Were it mine, first thing I would be looking at doing is getting a code reader that will work with the car, reading the faukt codes and then clearing them. Restart and see what reappears. One thing I've learned with mine is that one code (ABS sensor fail is favourite) may automatically trigger others (Gearbox fail; handbtrake fail etc.), even though in reality there is nothing amiss with the other parts.

I'd also do a simple voltage test with it running, just in case the alternator has gon rogue.

Mike.
