Hello,

I'm proud owner of an 2.7 C6 from 2006.

Yesterday I wanted to open the hood, went inside the car, pull the leaver and nothing happened.
The leaver is loose, no audible click was present.

I went outside the car, checked the hood and it's not half raised.

Do you have any suggestions how should I open the hood now?
Already I dismantle the internal lever, used pliers to pull the steel cord, no results.

Issue is not on the hood external lever (already existing post)

Many thanks

Have you tried pulling on the release cable while another person applies varying degrees of downward pressure to the bonnet, over the catch area ?

If that doesn't work, I think you will need to remove the undertray right up to the bumper. There is then a line of sight from underneath up to the bottom of the mechanism (not unimpeded, but better than nothing) and hopefully with the careful use of some suitably shaped lever, you will be able to spring it.

Mike.
