Got the unit out: pull plastic trim off and three clips begind the indicator/drl unit. DRL was full of water and bulb had smashed. Indicator bulb was in tact but I smashed it trying to unscrew it. How do they come out? Do they unscrew? What type of bulbs are they? Any possibility of getting a new unit? |

So the bulbs aren't replaceable? - Click Here - Does a new front (6303.89) come with bulbs? Or do you need to buy the bulbs part (6303.91) as well separately? |

I have no links but the bulb can be changed - also a led version (of a BMW model) is doable. Personally I might just solder in a different bulb when the original bulb fails.

Not replaceable and Citroen is slow to deliver them (complete units with bulbs). The bright sides are. 1. not expensive 2. they will last long and are robust due to the construction with integrated bulbs. 3. They are are easy and fast to change (but a lot of C6'ers have soldered in new bulbs, I just bought an extra set to be prepared next time) |

is it worth seeing if there are any cars being broken for parts?

Need a new unit as it was full of water and all the silvering has washed away. So it looks like "normally" you're supposed to get the ~£25 back part from the dealer, and it seems that it has rotatinal symmetry so that the same part works on both sides? |

The bulbs are replacable. Marking is PY24W and aliexpress.com is full of different variants: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32219286119.html?spm=2114.search0104.3.29.668e3a5dIXBHrw&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0%2Csearchweb201602_3_10065_10068_319_10059_10884_317_10887_10696_321_322_10084_453_10083_454_10103_10618_10307_10820_10821_10303_537_10302_536%2Csearchweb201603_51%2CppcSwitch_0&algo_expid=08c443ff-0da8-4122-aad6-5a5a74611b06-4&algo_pvid=08c443ff-0da8-4122-aad6-5a5a74611b06&transAbTest=ae803_5 |

These are excellent: - Click Here - Downside: you need to open the apertures, in the back of the lamp units’ reflectors, to 20mm. I used my 4-20mm step cutter in a cordless drill on slow speed. Make sure the lamp unit is absolutely dry before starting the mod, then just tap the side of the unit against a hard vertical surface to eject the resultant swarf. Downside 2: I had to install a 10W/56R resistor in line in my 2006 2.7, but my 2009 3.0 seems to have a more compliant CANbus; they worked fine in her. I used white versions for the DRLs — very bright! |

I tried some AliExpress LEDs but they don't fit through the holes. Had new parts from Citroen, but full of water again. Any ideas how to keep the water out? |
