Rear stiffness regulator

 Hi, My C6 is signalling an intermittent suspension fault. The symptoms are periodic hardening and less frequent drop of the rear.
I am presuming it is a faulty rear stiffness regulator.
Citroen Australia quote around $2000 but a couple of English sites convert to just under $1100.
I have recently replaced most of the suspension bushes and 2 new front struts along with some new Michelin’s and it is certainly getting close to driving really well.
I would appreciate any comments about the regulator.

 that link is broken but if you go into the Tech document section/ user supplied tutorials you'll find one on the rear stiffness regulator.

If all else fails I could look into shipping a used one to you?
