Is the left dash trim just clipped in?

I've heard a rumour there's a hidden screw but can't see any

I've gently prised it with a trim tool and it isn't moving, am I just being too cautious?

Where are they and how do you get at them?

The short answer is: you don't. Well, unless you take the whole fascia apart first, removing the central display etc., see the document titled "C6 Dashboard Fascia strip or assemble" in the technical document section. Good luck!!
