Just a word of warning about this C6 on AutoTrader...

The previous owner of the car is on the C6 Owners Facebook Group and has posted a few words of warning about the above car. He sold it for £800 which he deemed as "Scrap Value" and "Only good for parts" at the time due to the issues that were on the car.

His description is below:

the reason I sold it so cheap is I did not want to sell to anyone as it developed several faults I suggest anyone viewing it to look at the os front strut it is leaking !

Also especially when cold or acceleration high it started to smoke very bad also it comes up with an a turbo fault eml lights and goes into limp mode.

You will find out shortly after starting and driving less than 800 yards it comes up engine fault with eml and when I checked codes there were a few all related to one or both turbochargers.

And also noticed the transmission started to snatch occasionally and the os headlamp flickers and NS lamp occasionally flashes hi lo beam then cuts out so this is why I chose to sell it for scrap value so although I'm not telling people not to buy it but thoroughly check it!!

If viewing the car, please be thorough and be careful There's thousands of pounds worth of work required on that car when it was sold a couple of months ago.

David.

Two good reviews for the garage too... Looks like they've earned their 1 star reputation. I wonder if they'll ever sell it for £3k given it's mileage and that cars with not much more then half that mileage don't make much more.

Please please do not buy from this garage.. I bought a car that is 12 years old for over 2000 pounds and immediately I noticed it was drinking petrol at a ridicules rate also the speed monitor was in kmp not mph.. Then after only having for a couple of months the turbo has failed and I can not speed up at a safe pace and as it is taking over the 6 rev to get me moving it is draining petrol.. I have tried to contact and have been blocked and told hard luck.. Also the paper work provided with the car has many contradictions.. I hardly had the car and it was all my savings... And the speed monitor could have cost me my licence... The dashboard light that would have come on as a warning for this major problem is likely to have been wiped... His actions have proved he is not shocked or concerned at the mess and headache this has caused and its clear to say he saw me coming with little knowledge or understanding

Called and agreed a time to see a Nissan micra. Turned up to the location and gates were closed. I called the seller and tells me he's in Leicester! No call back and no apology but tells me to come back tomorrow. No thanks!
