Hi all I am about to buy a Lexia 3, but I understand it is not compatible with Windows 7. My question is, on Windows 7, can it be run in XP compatibility mode? Thanks Rich |

Yes, according to a member at C4owners But you need to download the XP compatibility software from Microsoft as far as I'm aware |

I'm certain I'm running my Lexia on my Windows 10 laptop with no virtual machine. It's almost 2 years since I installed it and don't remember any issues - only it took a long time... | ||

I can confirm that after having 'online support' to install Diagbox 7.8 on my Win 10 laptop via a 'Virtual Machine', they failed miserably and I sent it all back. Instead I bought a cheaper Lexia 3 from eBay, downloaded a copy of Diagbox 7.2 iso and ran the instal direct to my Yoga 710 running Win 10 Pro. It did take a while but it works fine and I deactivated TPMS no problem for a lot less than a dealer would charge. I understand from Trainman that he has Diagbox 7.2 on his laptop running Win 10 Home so this looks like a good way to go. Install Guide PDF I used is available to download: - Click Here - |

I can confirm that Diagbox can be installed on 64-bin win10. However, my weapon of choice at the moment is 32-bit win7 on an old Dell D610 because I can keep it in the car and because having all the services running on my main machine is annoying. I've tried vritual machines a few times and either failed or found them to be unusably slow -- not that Diagbox is particularly snappy at the best of times. Installing is certainly something of a rite of passage. I find that: install, restart, open Diagbox (it finished installing), restart, then do the same with the next update in the sequence. Diagbox 7.83 was a day's work. |

Found out that you can supress that annoying 'update check' screen that keeps appearing with some Diagbox installations. You can turn off the automatic firmware update: Find the file C :/ AWRoot / bin / launcher / AP.INI Scroll down and Change the value of: MAJ_COM = TRUE ---> MAJ_COM = FALSE Ran a battery test on my car this morning after doing the tweak without it appearing |
