C6 Cruise Control Has Stopped Wortking

 The cruise on mine has recently started to play up.

Then worked fine yesterday until it just decided to switch itself off.

On the screen, it says "cruise off" and no amount of button pressing will set it.

Thanks for raising this thread and for the numerous suggestions ... will try the easiest first!
