Hello everybody, Seeing a colleagues C6 made me decide to upgrade from my long term 2CV. My new aquisition is a 2008 2.7HDi Exclusive finished in Mauritius Blue with a cream interior. One owner and a full Citroen main dealer service history. The money I saved on not going down the Audi route will be held in reserve to fund any C6 problems should they arise!! Both Citroen UK and the servicing garage tell me a cambelt change is scheduled at 160k miles or 120 months but reading thru all of your posts suggests that 100k is more sensible so that's what I shall do when the time arrives. I'll let you know how I get on. Mark 2CV Dolly RX8 231PS Mini Cooper S R63 Audi S6 4.2V8 Nissan 350Z GT RR Vogue V8 Jaguar XJS V12 BSA 10hp saloon 1935 |

Welcome Mark, I've had 'La Dame Grise' for 18 mths now (another 08 / 2.7HDi) - have I ever regretted it? Well only once or twice, but then I just look at the car and all is forgiven. Pretty sure most C6ers will know that feeling. Get used to having more random conversations in car parks. And BL Autos in Welwyn are definitely your friends if trouble strikes. |

Hi Mark, I hope you enjoy your C6; that's quite a radical change from the 2CV! I've only had my 06 2.7HDi Ex a few months and in my limited experience they definitely have their challenging moments (mainly financial!), but as implied previously they are such a dream and easily forgiven when going well. I may not be too far off in NW Essex if useful; I'm on the Lexia learning curve Robin |

I'm in Woodbridge, and whilst I can't offer a Lexia I'm happy to offer any help and advice from 8.5 years of C6 ownership.... PM me if required. Unlike many Citroen dealers, John Grose/Citroen Ipswich do see a few C6's, mainly mine nowadays, so they can troubleshoot and repair when needed. | ||

My new next door neighbour turns out to be the service manager for a Citroen Main Dealer. He saw my C6 pull onto my drive and came round to administer the 'last rites' to me! He has kindly said he will interrogate Lexia when back at work to see what warranty work if any has been completed and if the recalls have been addressed. Good job I have other cars to call on. |
