Cleaning metal strips

 Hi guys

Any tips RE cleaning the metal strips around your windows? I use a cream based metal polish on similar material which works a treat but not entirely sure what these strips are made of. Not sure taking a tin of Brasso to them would be a good idea.

 Judging by the condition of mine, they are 'chromed' plastic, but I stand to be corrected.

Mine too, the quality is not very good for a car that is supposed to be at the top of the tree!

 Mine are becoming marbled (less than two years old and washed every week over the winter to keep salt at bay). I suspect that that are electropolished aluminium.
