 Just about to purchase a C6, any things i should be very wary of, have own many ds and cx and xantias now going in the deep end

 How long is a piece of string?
There are many threads on here from owners reporting similar issues so I would suggest you trawl through, the more common problems will become apparent.
There is also very useful advise & tips on how to solve certain issues and prevent them from reoccurring.
