All Low Saps oils, have sacrificed 3 very important additives :: sulphate ash, sulphur and phosphor. This 3 additives has been limited in oils (depending to low saps level ..mid..high..), and not replaced. This 3 additives are bad for FAP/DPF, but important for engine. It works as a detergent, antioxidant, and anti-wear additives. For me personally..i have C6 as second..or third car to use, i drive only 15-20 000kms for year in it, and FAP is still OK. When FAP will be full, i will just simply clean it with hot high pressure cleaner. Much better than weared or destroyed engine. I used in all my cars, Total Q9000 5W40 or Q7000 10W40,i was always satisfied with it, for example, xantia HDi did 466 000km and then was sold..with original turbo and all engine components (except alternator..changed 2x! ). But i choosed Valvoline durablend or maxlife for my C6 :P Its cheap oil, and has very good anti wear protection according to this older tests - Click Here - |
