If i remember correctly it costs over 300€ for the interface alone. Hello all, You can install the reverse camera to C6 and have the automatic switching when engaging the reverse gear. I have done this installation to my C6. Please see the video: I have installed the Navlinkz VL2-NG4 interface unit. Link to the German seller: VL2-NG4 The interface is connected in the LVDS signal between the RT4 main unit and the display unit. Makes automatic switching to the reverse camera. The detection is through CAN-bus. The price for the interface about a year ago was 329 euro. Hi Ceekus Great work you've done there... Are you Pasi from Finland by any chance? |

BR Eke Hello Eke, The procedure to get the Finnish system language was: - extracting the text files by using Mirascript, - translating the text lines (more than three thousand rows of text) - replacing the original text files in RT4 hard disk by using Mirascript Now it is nice to use the system "localized". The camera is from CarVision, model CV-130WDR NH The wire i fed via the same route as the cables for the lamps on the boot lid are routed. Please see photos attached (the camera is covered by plastic shield) |

Hello everybody, I got the same interface by Carvision, but it is different because there is no can-bus box. So, to switch to rear view, there is a wire that I have to connect to the +12v of the back lights. I would like to avoid to pass a wire until the rear... Do you know where I can connect it ? (Fuse box, any connector, ...) Thanks |

(Fuse box, any connector, ...) Hello, You can reach the back light signal from the rear fuse box: BSC1 (located in the trunk, near battery) Unfortunately the signal for the reversing lights comes from BSI to BSC1 through CAN-bus. Thus in the front of the car (e.g. in the BSI) there is no place to connect without the CAN-box. |

Bliek73 wrote ... Just to dust this one of... what about this. Anyone has experience with a system like this? - Click Here - Looking at the advert it's for a reversing 'camera'. Just the camera unit itself so how would you integrate it into the cars display? Do you have the rest of the 'kit'? I have personally had rear view cameras installed before on various cars (VW, Mercedes) which all require additional software installation of which there is no mention of and given the price quoted, is not included. m3mpower wrote ... If i remember correctly it costs over 300€ for the interface alone. Indeed the last installation I looked at was for an Audi and it failed because the software that was supposedly compatible, wasn't. It was a 'professional' fit so as it failed, didn't cost anything BTW |

Well you would plug it into the AV connection in the glove compartment. But indeed, how would it know that you are in reverse? | ||
