Auto retractable wing Mirrors

 My auto retractable wing mirrors got frozen up in the snow this winter, and when I opened the doors, being frozen solid, the wing mirrors stayed put. They will now not retract automatically, although I can retract them and "open"them manually. I thought a fuse may have gone, but I have tried every fuse I can think of (although the manual does not actually identify one speicifcally for the wing mirrors) Any ideas on what may need fixing. I don't want to go to a costly dealer, if it something I can fix without too much effort myself?

 Open them manually, and then relock the car, that should reset them. Hopefully
