They are all rt3's on flea bay. Been offered an rt4 for £450 or rt5 for £600.

Will a cheaper rt3 work ?

Will a rt5 work and what are the benefits ?

Oh, price for a rt4 from Citroen now £2340 !

Thanks Steve. Did you give it a go? Are these systems better than the magneti ones?

Matt,

I didn't bother to be honest, I did contemplate it but decided to stick with the RT3

Think I may go for the RT5 upgrade. Will mean removing my Parrot 9200, but that's now destined for the wifes Cooper S. The guy selling me the unit says no compatibility issues, same wiring, all functions will work..... Anybody any view?

All sorted. My guy from Eurovans ended up to be a complete Navidrive genius. He fitted me a brand new RT5 he collected from France. It was a different facia design from the ones used in the C6 so he removed the front panel from my dead RT4 and swoped it onto the new unit. Plugged in his Lexia, configured it all up and I have now the only 2.7 with a RT5 in the world (probably). He even removed my Parrot 9100 fully intact (not easy).

One small issue.......backlight is a darker Orange than the C6 ambient Yellow. Took me a while to notice, so I'm sure I can live with it. Wouldn't be surprised if my new best mate has a magic fix for this as well!

I paid £600 and he gave me £50 for my dead unit. A lot of money but a lot less than the £2300 that Citroen charge for a RT4. I'm still in fighting for compensation by the way, will keep all posted.

The Navidrive genius goes by the name of m3mpower. You can pm him over on Eurovans. He also has an Ebay shop.

Hi Matt
I ended up joining the forum after you have mentioned it to me tonight
I am glad you are happy with your new RT5, i hope you enjoy it
I have managed to remove the stuck 8.11 disc from your dead RT4 so if you want it, text me your address and i will post it to you
Regarding the backlight, if it bothers you too much, give me some time and i will sort it out for you, we have to meet up somewhere for me to do it, it will take me 15 minutes

Best regards

Great stuff. Will be in contact. Great you have joined the forum. Your advice has been invaluable to me and I'm sure will also help many others on here going forward if you drop in occasionally. Cheers,

m3mpower - welcome on board.

Sorry to hi-jack this thread but I wanted to be sure you'd see this. Maybe we can start another thread later.

I'm pleased to have a sounds expert on board because I'd value your advice regarding upgrading the sounds on my boggo standard Lignage. I find it underwhelming. Is it something you would be interested in suggesting a few options for?

I'd be looking for supply and install - I'm in NW1

cheers

Michael

Hi Michael
Does your C6 have an amplifier? and is it connected/enabled?
What system have you got in your car? RT3 RT4 ?

Umm, my parking sensors don't seem as responsive with my new RT5. They were awesome before, now they don't seem tuned into the dimensions of the car. Front don't go RED before impact and no continuous beep. They are working, just not as good as before. Lexia just asks to select if present, nothing more. Am I missing something? Is there another menu somewhere that aligns them to a C6? Or a software download I need? Cheers

Hi Matt
Sounds like it's a configuration issue, probably some settings in the BSI, i don't see why a new RT5 would prevent parking sensors to work...
Next time we meet, i can plug in Lexia and have a look..

Best regards
