Hi all, I am wanting to have a go at adjusting ride height due to headlamp aim problems. I have been gifted a Lexia Diagbox by the bloke who sold me the vehicle and have only some vague instructions about using it. The CD-ROM is labelled with the warning that the software will not run on Windows 10. I have a fairly modern laptop which runs Windows 11 but no DVD or CD drive which I am told will not be suitable. I am looking at buying a second hand computer on ebay... Trouble is, what to buy? Any ideas?   |

Mine did not come with a CD-ROM; the seller provided a ready-made VMWare image which is Windows 7 with the software installed. (The Windows is set to French but the DiagBox/Lexia software is set to English.) I could run that on any computer and OS with VMWare installed; I am actually running it on a MacBook. | ||

VMware is the way to go on newer machines. If you go to the Files section of "Citroën C5 Technical Group" Facebook page you'll find a Diag software download. |

The sound of your answers sailing straight over my head.... My electrical engineering wizard son is visiting this weekend... Hopefully he can get this stuff set up for me. No I haven't tried to adjust the headlamp aim because I really now think it is a product of the vehicle's stance rather than the headlights having actually been moved out of proper alignment. I had another issue with the headlights also related to high (or as you blokes call it - main) beam where the wire which energises the shutter solenoid had come adrift in the LH headlamp. People were also flashing me when I had no main beam in my LH headlight. At that time I had a quite knowledgable auto-sparky remove the headlamp and do a key-hole surgery repair on it. That was quite a big job, involving removing the front bumper and a shed-load of trim in the engine bay. I also mentioned to him about headlamp aim but he said it 'looked okay to him' and there it stopped. Main beam now works but is pointed way too high |
