OEM-Replacement for RT available?

 Hi together.

There is a Chinese "OEM-style" Head Unit for Peugeot 407 available.

The Radio part fits to the C6 as well and the touchscreen can be adapted to fit and replace the C6 original display.

This Head Unit runs on Android and allows all the modern gadgets the C6 is missing. Also modern navigation.

At least the aircondition is shown in the display - but this is the only function.

Unfortunately no trip computer nor any car settings / suspension information / temperarure gauges are present.

Does anyone tried this?

Are there specialists who could creat ea custom software to implement all the car-related functions of the RT-systems into this Android head Unit?

This would make our C6 future proof

But unfortunately I have no knowledge how to realise this

What do you think?

 Unfortunately there will be no future for many C6 (in the UK anyway due to annual MOT requirements) unless a new supply of AMVAR suspension legs (amongst some other mechanical parts) becomes available.

Personally, I'm in favour of keeping cars running mechanically and can get just about anything needed for my 54-year-old DS. Because so many still survive from the over 1.4 million built, suppliers know they have a market for parts. With the C6's relatively low production of just over 24,000, there seemingly isn't the demand yet.

Like many 'modern' cars, the electrical side of a C6 with its electronic controls is also a current, never mind future problem that will need to be addressed somehow. Please don't think I'm being negative here Sven, I'm just trying to point out that there may be more pressing issues for keeping a C6 on the road than a change of head unit.
