My r/h long beam has stopped working (the electromagnetic shutter not clicking in). I've checked the wires and connectors, they all seem OK. I guess at this point, my only option is to source a complete headlamp unit, as the lens and mechanical parts are integral to that assembly? |

Usual problem is a white (or with white stripe) wire inside the unit. It breaks inside the plastic insulation due to movement. Adam in Larvik fixed it for me, because he thought my used unit was not pretty (even if I had polished it and shifted all bulbs) And then I have an extra r/h unit (from a 2006 model). |

I had exactly the same issue with my 2006 C6. It turned out to be a the same broken wire as Tjensen stated. It was difficult to have it repaired and cost me a fortune. I found an auto-electrician who understood why I was even considering fixing my 'weird-looking, foreign car' and who did some key-hole surgery and managed to fix it. A replacement headlamp was completely unobtainable in this country..... Best of luck! |
