Guys, I wanted a quick and dirty way to get tunes from my iphone (no headphone socket) into my C6 stereo unit. I did some research and thought these devices on Amazon might work. - Click Here - - Click Here - Basically they take an audio bluetooth signal from your phone, and broadcast it on a FM frequency. You choose an empty broadcast frequency for that broadcase, and tune the car's radio to that frequency. So far, so simple. However, while both of the ones I have ordered so far work in my Toyota, they don't even power up in my C6's cigarette sockets. Boff. Having done some research I suspect its because the C6's sockets are unusually shaped (unusually deep). So, my question is whether anyone has found such a device that actually fits/works in a C6? Any other ideas welcome (but I really don't want to take the stereo out). |

I don't know of a device like that with a longer cigarette lighter plug, but if you could find one with a normal USB plug (or USB-C), then you could pair it with a not-flared-out-at-the-top USB socket. I have this one: - Click Here -

Yes they are short or long, and C6 need long ones. From telephone to car I use standard USB to 3,5 mm plug. This can go into 3,5mm hole in dash or via cable to 2xRCA in glovebox

Yes, I have that cigarette-USB adapter in my C6 now and it happily charges my phone via the old-fashioned USB socket. I have not tried the USB-C socket that it also has.

However the top of it does sit inside the cigarette hole, below the level of the top of the hole, so it is possible that the FM transmitter you have found is too wide to get to it. If so, maybe use a USB extension cable?

While a bit "messy", I use a USB-C to RCA cable from my iPhone 17 to the connections in the glove box. I also have a holder with magsafe so my phone "floats" in front of the centre vents. I'll take a pic and share the details of the phone holder when I'm next in the car.
