Hello, I’m looking to replace my C5 with a C6 2.2. I am looking for a nice condition car with up to date service history. Is anyone looking to sell something along these lines? I’m based in North Lincolnshire although I am prepared to travel within reason. Regards, Ben |

Hi, I had a long look (with MG Mike's help) at a 2.2 Exclusive in Black that was for sale in Glasgow in April. I am not sure if it is still for sale - but you could call Bruno (the seller) on 07874 626140 and ask. I suspect you want to know why I didn't buy it. I thought Bruno was asking a bit too much given the prices on 2.7s - but he wouldn't drop his price. |

2.2s are rare, and I think command a premium over 2.7s for various reasons. It is interesting to see that whilst 2.2s were originally about 10% of C6s registered in the UK, they now represent about 25% of the cars that are currently taxed. (60 taxed, 17 sorn). The number of those that are in nice condition and with service history - who knows? My advice to anyone looking for a 2.2 is that 'travel within reason' probably includes the whole of the UK. A good car is worth a long journey. Probably applies to all C6s ... and XMs, CX, DS... |

Yes, unfortunately I have found that with a lot of older Citroens and Renaults. It took me about a year to find my BX and a similar time to find a 2.2 Renault Vel Satis. I have since bought a nice condition DS5 although it definitely drives more similarly to the Vel Satis than the C5/C6. | ||

You are aware of the 2.2 having much simpler suspension control as well as the smaller engine? Not passing judgement on the 2.2, the have their place with easier engine to keep going and cheaper UK road tax; just wanted to make sure you had the full picture! | ||

Hi I live in Worcester and I have a Black RHD 2.2 Manual 6 speed C6, for sale. Last week, it had a full service by Citropro & passed its MOT. In September 2024 it had a new clutch and dual mass flywheel fitted by Citropro Stage 1 Avon Tuning remap, the car runs like a dream Fitted with Pioneer DAB Radio and hands-free phone capability Full Service History, Genuine 160,000 miles, it runs like a dream. Good overall condition. If you are interested, I can send photos. |
