The local body repair shop has confirmed that it will be much cheaper to replace the doors than to mend the existing ones even though the dent doesn't look that bad.

If anyone here has any I'm interested but more to the point does anyone have any good or bad experience with eBay sellers of such things? In particuar is the seller Autominute in Lithuania OK as they have several possible doors.

Also am I right in thinking that any C6 door will fit OK, I don't have to worry about engine or year?

Try 'Number 1 Auto Salvage' in Bolton upon Dearne, South Yorkshire.

According to their website they're breaking three C6s and are showing all 4 doors available for at least one of them (in Iron Grey) for between £114 and £133.

Have a look here: - Click Here -

I can't vouch for them as I've never used them but came across their website when searching for a different part.

They used to have an eBay presence too though I can't find anything listed at the moment.

Hope this helps.

Did you see the programme on TV last night about cars stolen in the UK then broken for part ending up in the Middle East and also that country?

Anyway, if you can get a UK one it might survive better than coming in via customs from the EU. Get a quote for UK delivery from 'Proovia' - Click Here - who will collect/deliver insured.

Replacing with a door of the same colour code is always the best option but.... finding one is the issue.

Replacing with another colour and painting is the least favourite option as the cost can escalate quickly.

If the dent(s) haven't caused paint damage, I would be looking for a paintless repair specialist. The costs will be less but close to the repaint cost and a lot less hassle.

If you need a door to have painted, I can probably supply but delivery cost will be substantial.

Between £60 & £75 for a car door with Proovia Mike depending on service chosen

Thanks all for the various bits of advice and information. I'm off to France next week and there's a breaker near Lille (which I will be driving past) who has several C6s so I'm going to look there.

Am I right in thinking that a C6 door is the same for all models and dates (other than interior trim etc. of course)?

They should be all the same (apart from trim) so good luck on the hunt

The metalwork and locks will be the same but I believe the wiring harness may be model specific. This can be swapped with the original if any differences are found, just watch out for sharp metal edges in there
