Strange Noise On Cold Start

 My car is making a weird noise when starting but it only happens on the first start of the day. There's a link below to the video on YouTube where you can hear it for yourself. The sound I'm talking about occurs at the 10-second mark.

The starter motor seems to be the obvious culprit but the fact that the car starts fine and this only occurs on the first start of the day may point to it being something else? This is a replacement engine with around 100,000 miles on it but I don't know if the starter is original to that engine.
