Greetings from down under, With my car at 305,000kms, is it time to have the injectors out and serviced? Anyone had a similar experience with the engine "misfire" occasionally? The oil filter was changed a year or two back, and the car has very little use. Are the injectors common with other diesels, and how easy is it to remove the injectors? Best wishes, Ian |

The injectors for the 2.2 are part number 1980J8 and if you Google that they appear to be used by BMW, Fiat, Ford, Lancia as well as Peugeot. Now if the car has had little use I would give it an old 'Italia Tuneup' before spending money on parts and start by changing the fuel filter, then give it a good motorway run above 50 mph to get everything hot. Some 'Premium' diesel and some snake oil injector cleaner might help as well. |

My 2.2 had a very occasional 'misfire' that proved difficult to trace. Partly a crank sensor problem, but ultimately cured by replacing the throttle body (bought a secondhand one from a scrapped Evoque). Mileage was over 200,000 - throttle body had oil in its electrics. Throttle body is very easy to change. |
