C6 that I have just purchased needs a replacement handbrake module.
(2.7Hdi Auto)
Any got one stashed away?

Also anyone able to confirm how easy it is to code to the car?
Do you need the old one to trick the software like you do with Saabs.

Thanks again
Dave

I'll have one off my spares car tomorrow. I'll message you with details.

sorry to burst your bubble, but I had this issue in my C6 and only sure was a new unit coded via Citroen. Apparently once coded, the module cannot be recoded.

Jas16, modules are inter changeable as long as they are from the same type of car e.g. auto or manual. I've supplied a few used ones without any issues being reported.

It probably helps to match the firmware revision documented on the Part No. label but I don't think it's essential.

The g'box type can be changed with Diagbox if you are unfortunate enough to get the wrong one. I know this from experience of having tested a unit on my own car and recoding one from auto to manual and back again.

Is it the box in itself or just the cables ? Cables are no longer accessible from Citroen, but there are other sources..... I only needed cables, much cheaper

Thanks Mike, I wish I had known that before, well years ago as I would have taken you up on your offer. I went to BL Autos and they couldn't change the Auto to Manual gearbox setting.

Jas, the setting is well buried in the config section and isn't the easiest to find or change! I've done it once to change an Auto to Manual before shipping it to NZ!
